Allegories, Composition of

In an allegory we distinguish between containers, contents, connectives (which either facilitate or impede one's progress), manifest and tacit attributes, levels, textures, elements, moments of process, transformations and inversions. The themes or images in an allegory may also be classified in the above categories.
