The emotional component or climate of an allegory does not depend on which specific images are used to represent it. The emotional climate is part of the whole system of ideation; the emotional climate is important because it reveals the meaning the allegory has for the consciousness. If the emotional climate and the images in the allegory do not correspond, the climate is the most important factor in determining the meaning of the allegory. Allegories do not respect linear time or the usual structure of space characteristic of the vigilic level of consciousness.
